Tensile behaviour of high performance fibre-reinforced cementitious composites at high strain rates

► We performed static and dynamics tests on HPFRCC material. ► We examined the influence of strain rate in the material behaviour. ► Increasing the strain rate from 10−6 to 300 s−1 the dynamic increase factor increases from 1 to about 3. ► The dissipated energy remains almost constant for growing strain rates up to 150 s−1 and scantly decreases at 300 s−1. ► By increasing the strain rate the post-peak stress plateau observed in the static tests grows from 8.5 to 15 MPa.
