Adaptive Preview Control: A Novel Control Structure

This paper proposes a novel control structure Adaptive Preview Control (APC). The proposed control scheme includes a combination of Adaptive Control and Preview Control and thus, gains the advantage of both the schemes. This scheme enhances the transient behaviour by adapting to the realtime previewed signals of the system. The proposed control structure is tested for two benchmark control problems using MATLAB platform. The results validate that the performance of the system enhances by the use of Adaptive Preview Control structure in terms of the transient characteristics.
