Real time traffic monitoring based on travel time minimization

In the existing applications for road, air and water traffic monitoring and control the key element is minimization of the distance traveled from a starting point to a chosen destination. This paper is focused on a new methodology based on travel time minimization. The results presented here were obtained in research work done for some national interest projects in Romania.
