چکیده انگلیسی
In this paper, predictable and unpredictable events occurring before production ramp-up are compared from an information perspective. The objective is to identify the type of information required to handle such events, for successful ramp-up performance. An industrial case study shows that major differences between the two types of events concerns information related to problem identification and problem-solving. For unpredictable events, e.g. novel problems, information of a pragmatic character was found important. Domain-related and problem-solving information were vital parts of the pragmatic information. The degree of novelty affected the preferred ways as well as type of information perception.
