Investigation into spatter behavior during selective laser melting of AISI 316L stainless steel powder

When laser beam moves to the end point of scanning track, the moving laser beam slows down, the powders absorb more energy, vaporization in molten pool is enhanced, thus the glare becomes intenser dramatically.
