Effect of strain rate on compressive mechanical properties of extruded Mg-8Li-1Al-1Ce alloy

► Mechanical properties of Mg-Li alloy were studied under various strain rates. ► Mg-Li alloy shows a relatively higher strain rate sensitivity. ► High rate deformation of Mg-Li alloy is dominated by dislocation motion and twinning.
