OBSERVER-BASED MONITORING OF DISTRIBUTED NETWORKED CONTROL SYSTEMS

In this paper, an advanced observer-based scheme is proposed for the monitoring of distributed networked control systems. To achieve an early fault detection, an observer-based fault detection unit is fully embedded in the local control structure. And moreover, a central control/monitoring system is designed, which satisfies the required monitoring performance with a reduced data transmission amount between the central and local systems.
