Determination of Cultural Conditions of Infectious Bovine Rhinotracheitis Virus Strain “BM”

The purpose of our research was to determine cultural properties and cultural conditions of the infectious bovine rhinotracheitis virus of “BM” strain. Sensitivity of different cell lines to IBR virus was studied. The most effective system for cultivation of IBR virus turned MDBK cell line. Optimum multiplicity of infection was 0.01 TCD50/cell in which infectious virus replication activity is the highest. The research work proved that influence of maintenance medium and the presence of serum had no effect on the virus productivity. It was also proved that the method of infection significantly effects on intensity of accumulation of the virus.
