A CURRICULUM FOR INDUSTRIAL INFORMATICS IN COMPUTER SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING DEGREE

An experience in the design of an industrial informatics curriculum is discussed. In the context of Computer Science/Engineering, several modules of sensing/transducing, information cleaning/filtering, knowledge acquisition/control, communication networks/fieldbus, supervision/diagnosis, are integrated to form the areas of computer perception/actuation with natural world. The objective is to cover the essential knowledge about these fields by occupying minimum curriculum space in a five years engineering degree.
