Investigation of tunable stretcher for ultrashort pulses based on silica wires with subwavelength-diameters

► The new type of stretcher based on silica wires with subwavelength-diameters is presented. ► The tunable stretching ratio of stretcher is obtained by changing refractive indices of surrounding environment. ► The wires with different diameters play different roles in supercontinuum generation.
