The principles of self-phase-locking are introduced under the conditions where the output-mirror is optimally aligned, and the photon degeneracy, root-mean-square (rms) phase error and properties of the equiphase surface of the reflected–injected beam are studied. The influences of misalignment of output-mirror on self-phase-locking are analyzed. The main influences include the overlap of the mode volumes and the energy-coupling coefficient. The fringe visibility and the distributions of the light intensity in the far field are numerically simulated. These results show that there is an angular tolerance within which self-phase-locking still occurs.
