Mode coupling in chalcogenide-glass optical fibers

► We have examined the mode coupling in step-index chalcogenide-glass multimode optical fiber. ► Coupling length depends on the wavelength and is of the order of kilometers. ► Obtained results are of interest for characterization of chalcogenide-glass optical fibers.
