Reflective type segmented electrooptical electric field sensor

An electric field sensor was integrated by combining reflective type LiNbO3 Mach–Zehnder modulator and segmented modulator electrode. The frequency response is flat from 750 MHz to 6 GHz. The average minimum detectable electric field strength is about 10 mV/m. The size of the fabricated sensor is microminiaturized as small as 45 × 3 × 0.5 mm3.
