Electrochemically arrayed and addressed DNA multi-sensor platforms

A simple method for the arraying of multi-analyte devices based on the directed electrodeposition of bio/nanomodules is described. The addressed immobilization is characterized and the concept is demonstrated constructing DNA sensors able to discriminate between complementary and 4-point mutated 19-mer oligonucleotides. Non-specific adsorption of nanomodules was as high as 14% and methods to avoid it could lead to an attractive patterning method for the fabrication of generic multi-sensors and functional microsystems.
