Estimation of in-use steel stock for civil engineering and building using nighttime light images

- We considered difference in pixel area and the gap between target years of data sets.
- Asia has higher per capita in-use steel stocks than the other regions.
- World civil engineering/building in-use steel stock increased by about 2 Gt over four years.
