Flow injection electrochemical hydride generation atomic absorption spectrometry for the determination of cadmium in water samples

► A new flow injection method by coupling to an ECHG with AAS was proposed for Cd. ► FI-ECHG of Cd offers some advantages such as low cost, easy operation and reduced contamination. ► The analytical throughput rate was enhanced. ► The exchange of cathode after each measurement cycle was eliminated.
