Estimation of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons associated with size segregated combustion aerosols generated from household fuels

► Order of mass concentration emission was dung cake > firewood > coal > kerosene > LPG. ► Order of PAH emission was found to be dung cake > firewood > coal > LPG > kerosene. ► Most of the PAHs were associated with 0.75-1.13 μm size range of combustion aerosols. ► Solid fuels viz. firewood, dung cake, coal emitted high molecular weight (> 5 rings) PAHs. ► Non-solid fuels like kerosene and LPG emitted lower molecular weight (2-3 rings) PAHs.
