Use of solid phase microextraction (SPME) in the analysis of the reduced sulfur compounds (RSC) and its experimental limitations

► In this study, experimental reliability of SPME is evaluated for the analysis of RSC. ► Reliability of SPME-based method is assessed between the lighter and heavier RSCs. ► The results consistently show that the lighter RSCs are prone to relatively large experimental bias.
