Solvent-dependent chirality transformation: Construction of a helical homochiral silver(I) MOF using the V-shaped ligand 3-Aminobenzoate

Successive chirality transformation for coordination compounds of the V-shaped ligand 3-aminobenzoic acid was observed in different solvents with different polarities: cyclohexanol (non-helical achiral chain) < n-propyl alchohol (non-helical achiral chain) < ethanol (helical homochiral MOF) < dimethyl acetamide (helical homochiral MOF) < DMF (helical homochiral MOF) < DMSO (helical achiral chain) < water (helical achiral chain). Moreover, significantly different photoluminescence of two isomeric compounds with different chirality was discovered.120
