One three-dimensional Gd(III) coordination polymer with 1,2-phenylenediacetate exhibiting ferromagnetic interaction and large magnetocaloric effect

One 3D Gd(III)-based polymer was synthesized hydrothermally based on 1,2-phenylenediacetate ligand, which displays intrachain Gd ⋯ Gd ferromagnetic coupling and significant cryogenic MCE with the maximum − ΔSm value of 33.44 at 2 K and 7 T.111
