Cyano-bridged Fe2Cu double-zigzag chains: From metamagnetism to coexistence of metamagnetism and single-chain magnet behavior

Utilizing cyanometalate building blocks with different steric hindrance to tune interchain magnetic interactions, two new cyano-bridged {Fe2Cu} double-zigzag chains were successfully synthesized. The change from metamagnetism to the coexistence of metamagnetism and single-chain magnet behavior was realized.
