Syntheses, characterization and properties of rhenium(I) tricarbonyl complexes based on tetrathiafulvalene substituted naphthyridine ligands

► Three amide functional tetrathiafulvalene-based naphthyridine ligands are synthesized. ► Rhenium(I) tricarbonyl complexes based on the ligands are synthesized and characterized. ► The redox-active amide functional tetrathiafulvalene ligands are useful for new metal complexes.
