A convenient synthesis of fluorinated vinyl ethers derived from di-O-isopropylidenehexofuranose and O-isopropylidenepentofuranose

The synthesis of fluorinated vinyl ethers derived from di-O-isopropylidenehexofuranose and O-isopropylidenepentofuranose has been accomplished using penta- and hexafluoroolefins. Newly obtained compounds could be used as potential building blocks in drug design and substrates for the Claisen rearrangement reactions.
