Preparation of LiPF6 using ClF3 below room temperature

Text XRD profiles of LiPF6 prepared using F2 gas or ClF3 gas: (a) using F2 gas 25 °C, 5 h (b); using ClF3 gas 25 °C, 5 h (●, LiPF6; ▴, LiF; ♦, cover film). Using ClF3 instead of F2, the preparation of LiPF6 from LiF and P was accomplished at lower temperature with higher yield.
