Total synthesis of γ-trifluoromethylated analogs of goniothalamin and their derivatives

- The stereocontrolled construction of chiral γ-trifluoromethylated α,β-unsaturated δ-lactone was developed.
- Two diastereoisomers of γ-trifluoromethylated goniothalamin were prepared.
- The absolute configuration of the target molecule was confirmed by X-ray analysis.
