In steel–concrete composite structures, a good connection between steel and concrete is essential. This work evaluates the adhesion resistance of the composite structure with the push out method by changing the connection types. In the steel–concrete composite system, it is desirable to avoid failure in the steel–concrete interface. Five connective modes and two specimen geometries have been proposed and tested. Failure mode, ultimate load, strain variation and distribution are also reported and analyzed in the paper. From the experimental results, many connective modes can be used to connect steel and concrete with the adhesive. Analytical work showed that normal and shear stress can be evaluated. A comparison between test results and theoretical predictions shows good agreement.
