Nine triterpenes from Boswellia sacra Flückiger and their chemotaxonomic importance

- Five boswellic acids along with four triterpenes were isolated from frankincense of Boswellia sacra.
- Boswellic acids are chemotaxonomic markers for genus Boswellia.
- Two substances are new to the family Burseraceae.
