Two new pyrazines from the parent roots of Aconitum carmichaelii

► Seven non-diterpene alkaloids were studied from the parent roots of Aconitum carmichaelii. ► Phytochemical investigations led to the isolation of two new pyrazines, aconicarpyrazine A and B. ► Pyrazine alkaloids were first obtained from the genus Aconitum.
