A new sesquiterpene coupled with phenolic units and a new shikimic acid derivative from the Malaysia liverwort Conoscyphus Trapezioides

► Chemical composition of Conoscyphus Trapezioides was examined. ► This is a chemotaxonomic contribution to better understanding of Conoscyphus genus. ► Two new terpenoids were isolated from C. Trapezioides. ► The structures of new terpenoids were assigned by spectroscopic data. ► This is the first occurrence of the chemical studies in the genus Conoscyphus.
