Herbicidal potential of pseudoguaninolide sesquiterpenes on wild oat, Avena fatua L.

► Five pseudoguaninolide sesquiterpenes were isolated from Ambrosia maritima. ► The isolated compounds revealed strong herbicidal activity against Avena fatua. ► Damsin and ambrosin caused the highest inhibitory effect on growth parameters.
