Assessing high-resolution melt curve analysis for accurate detection of DNA polymorphisms in the chloroplast gene accD of Crucifer species

► High-resolution melt curve was used to detect accD variations of Crucifer species. ► The detection efficiency varied at highly and low polymorphic loci. ► Amplicons with only one or multiple SNPs were distinguished perfectly. ► Complex amplicons were analysed with more false negatives. ► HRM is an ideal method to identify rare variance in large populations.
