Acylated cyanidin 3-sambubioside-5-glucosides in the purple flowers of Hesperis matronalis L. (Brassicaceae)

► Two new anthocyanins were isolated from the purple flowers of Hesperis matronalis L. ► Acylated anthocyanins were based on 3-sambubioside-5-glucosides of cyanidin. ► This is the fifth genus including cyanidin 3-p-coumaroylsambubioside-5-malonylglucoside in the Brassicaceae.
