Molecular identification and distribution of Anopheles maculipennis complex in the Mediterranean region of Turkey

► Members of Anopheles maculipennis complex have been investigated. ► An. maculipennis s.s., An. melanoon, An. sacharovi identified using ITS2 sequences. ► Distribution of identified species was determined in the southern part of Turkey. ► Data obtained is important for control of malaria disease.
