Chemotaxonomy and flavonoid profiling of Torilis species by HPLC/ESI/MS2

► There are limited phytochemical reports on Torilis, a genus of potential use in medicine. ► It's a taxonomically problematic genus but there isn't any chemotaxonomical study about it. ► Flavonoid profiles are in relation with evolutionary biogeography of the Torilis species. ► Two new species combinations are proposed by the help of the flavonoid profiles.
