On microstretch thermoviscoelastic composite materials

► We derive a continuum theory for a thermoviscoelastic microstretch composite. ► An entropy production inequality proposed by Green and Laws is used. ► Strain measures and basic laws are shown and thermodynamic restrictions established. ► The linear theory is considered and the constitutive equations are given. ► A uniqueness result is established within the framework of the linear theory.
