Superoxide scavenging and antimicrobial activities of novel transition metal complexes of oxydiacetate dianion as primary ligand: Spectral characterization, cyclic voltammetric investigations and crystal structure

► The present work describes synthesis and characterization of novel complexes. ► X-ray structure of Cu(II) complex indicates a distorted octahedral geometry. ► 1D long chain polymeric structure exists in Cu(II) complex. ► The electrochemical investigations on Co(II) and Cu(II) complexes are performed. ► Antimicrobial and SOD mimic activities are also tested for the present complexes.
