Thiazolo[3,2-b]-1,2,4-triazole-5(6H)-one substituted with ibuprofen: Novel non-steroidal anti-inflammatory agents with favorable gastrointestinal tolerance

► In this manuscript, a series of thiazolo[3,2-b]-1,2,4-triazole-5(6H)-one derivatives of ibuprofen were synthesized. ► Compounds were evaluated for their potency as analgesic/anti-inflammatory agents. ► Some compounds exhibited potent analgesic/anti-inflammatory activity. ► The gastric risk of the compounds are, in general, lower than with the reference compounds ibuprofen and indomethacin.
