► Novel 3,4-dihydropyrimidinones are obtained in highly regioselective manner. ► Organophosphorous compounds are valuable owing to therapeutic potential. ► N3-substituted dihydropyrimidinones are prized for different biological effects. ► Calcium channel binding study has been conducted on new compounds. ► X-Ray shows structure similar to receptor bound conformation similar to nifedipine.
