Synthesis and biological evaluation of novel 2,4-disubstituted-1,3-thiazoles as anti-Candida spp. agents

► Synthesis and antifungal activity of a new series of 2,4-disubstituted-1,3-thiazoles. ► New derivatives could represent good lead compounds for the development of novel broad-spectrum anti-Candida spp. agents. ► They could be used in association with azole derivatives to enhance their antifungal activity.
