Microwave supported synthesis of some novel 1,3-Diarylpyrazino[1,2-a]benzimidazole derivatives and investigation of their anticancer activities

► We synthesize 1,3-diarylpyrazino[1,2-a]benzimidazole derivatives. ► 2-Aryloylbenzimidazoles are reacted to give 1-(2-aryl-2-oxoethyl)-2-aryloylbenzimidazoles. ► We examine the results of anticancer activities of the synthesized compounds. ► Cytotoxic and/or growth inhibitory effects are evaluated in vitro against sixty tumour cell lines.
