The oscillations of layered elastic media with a wavy boundary

Block element methods are used to investigate the oscillations of an elastic layer with a rough surface. For simplification, the investigation is carried out separately for the rotational and potential components of the boundary-value problem, which enables the solution to be obtained by analysing Helmholtz's equations.
