Adhesive resistance in the rolling of elastic bodies

A model of the rolling of a rough cylinder on an elastic half-space when there is adhesive attraction between the surfaces, due to molecular interaction, is constructed. The contact characteristics and moment of the adhesive resistance to rolling are calculated.
