Monodisperse and homogeneous SiOx/C microspheres: A promising high-capacity and durable anode material for lithium-ion batteries

We constructed monodisperse SiOx/C microspheres with ultrafine SiOx nano-domains homogeneously distributed in an amorphous carbon matrix through a facile sol-gel process. The resultant SiOx/C microspheres manifest high specific capacity (~ 1000 mA h g−1) and outstanding cycling stability.173
