Physical and mechanical fundamentals of unconventional technologies of solid mineral development

Investigation findings in the area of unconventional technologies of solid mineral development are analyzed. Data on stress waves induced by underground explosion in a rock mass at the improvement of blasting techniques are discussed. Changes in the rock mass after shock wave effect are shown to relate with experimental measurement results for the stress-strain state of rock specimens in compression. It is proposed to use the obtained evidence for solving the known problem on rock behavior in the vicinity of a deep mine opening.
