The τ-symmetry algebra of the generalized Kaup-Newell hierarchy

In this paper, based on the generalized Kaup-Newell(KN) spectral problem, the corresponding isospectral and nonisospectral soliton hierarchies are derived. It is shown that its Lie algebraic structure of the corresponding zero curvature equation is worked out. Finally the τ− symmetry algebra of the isospectral and nonisospectral generalized KN hierarchies is deduced.
