Development and verification of the activation analysis code AMY
چکیده انگلیسی
The nuclear analysis of experimental and commercial fusion reactors needs the activation calculation of radioactivity and related parameters. The major computational tool employed for the material radioactivity is an activation code with high precision and faster performance. AMY is a newly-developed code of handling neutron induced transmutation and activation in materials. And varieties of material activation properties can be provided, including activity, decay heat, biological hazard, dose rate, clearance index and gamma source spectra. The code is based on Chebyshev rational approximation method (CRAM) to solve the Bateman equations and to deal with the complex pattern of the chains produced by sequences of neutron reaction processes. And the dynamic construction method of transmutation chain and adaptive order reduction on matrix method are developed and implemented in AMY to improve the calculation efficiency. To verify the code, the test suits which cover almost all neutron induced nuclear activation reactions and complex irradiation scenarios are needed and selected. In the paper, several numerical results are presented. The calculation results of AMY are compared with analytical values and FISPACT-2007 which has been adopted by the ITER project as the reference activation code. The results of AMY have good agreements with analytical values and FISPACT-2007, which means AMY is a potential tool for accurate activation calculation of fusion reactors.
