Magnetic anisotropy of polycrystalline magnetoferritin investigated by SQUID and electron magnetic resonance

Due to the large surface to volume ratio, the nanoparticles show larger and uniaxial rather than cubic magnetic anisotropies compared to bulk maghemite and magnetite.
