Structural and electrical properties in La1−xLixMnO3

► Li-substituted perovskites La1−xLixMnO3 were successfully prepared by the usual ceramic method. ► Increasing lithium doping level enhances the resistivity. ► Metal-insulator transition temperature TMI shifts to lower values as fraction of Li increases. ►These manganites (x≤0.10) show constant magnetoresistance MR=50% (H=0.5 T) over a wide temperature range, which is very beneficial for practical applications.
