Template synthesis and magnetic properties of highly aligned barium hexaferrite (BaFe12O19) nanofibers

► A simple method was used to synthesize the aligned BaFe12O19 nanofibers. ► The aligned BaFe12O19 nanofibers display an obvious orientation-dependent magnetic behavior. ► The method can be readily applied to other aligned one-dimensional inorganic nanomaterials.
