Micromagnetic states in Fe (001) rectangular epitaxial microstructures: The effect of magnetic anisotropy and aspect ratio

► Fe (001) epitaxial rectangles 100 nm thick, 0.25-4 μm wide. ► Parallel to EAM at AR=1:4 a diamond at 1:8 the Landau state. ► Parallel to HAM at 1:4 a cross-tie, at 1:8 a concertina state. ► Transition from a multi-domain to a quasi-vortex state occurs at the width 600 nm. ► Transition from a quasi-vortex to a quasi-single domain at 1:8 and the width 0.5 μm.
